Web Forms

Web Forms are very beneficial for the classroom because they allow students to keep track of their progress. I first learned how to create web forms when I made my WebQuest. In order for my students to complete their tasks, I wanted to make sure they were keeping up with their work, so I made a form to paste into the WebQuest. Students in my class could access the form and add data to it, so everyone in the class could contribute to the same form. This allowa students to see what their classmates' thoughts are and help them formulate new ideas. In my WebQuest, students were expected to fill out a form with five Elizabethan words. They then were supposed to define all of the words. This is beneficial because students can work together in an online form to come up with new ideas and use these ideas to develop a better understanding on a topic. Students were allowed to use other students' words in their own dialogue video, which was later supposed to be presented in class.
Online forms also allow students and teachers to work cooperatively together. Students can submit information on forms and teachers can grade the assignments and turn them back in to their students. These documents allow all teachers, students, and even parents to communicate with one another and make sure everything is completed correctly. Forms can be submitted anywhere, and as long as each student has a Gmail account, they can access the class forms. It is important for teachers to set up an account for each student or tell them to set up an account, so they can access this information.
I hope to use web forms in my classroom someday because I truly feel like students can learn a lot by working with one another on these forms. Web forms are a simple way in which students can submit answers, and I would love to include these forms in my future WebQuests.
A web form allows teachers to design and develop digital learning experiences and assessments and model digital age work and learning (ISTE-NETS T standards 1 and 3). In my class, I could promote and support innovative thinking for my students by creating forms. These forms allows students to think outside the box and add their own ideas to a specific document for the whole class to use. I would be able to engage with my students online and let them know how well they were doing as well. I would be able to model digital age work and learning by making sure that students are completing the online forms and providing their own ideas. I would also be able to communicate digitally with my students and encourage them to use technology to express their thoughts.
