Diigo

Diigo Logo from website

Diigo gives students the chance to highlight, collect, access, and share information on many different devices. This social bookmarking site allows students to use a variety of web browsers, and students can access their account on their computer, Android, iPhone, or iPad. Users on this site can collect notes, highlights, images, sticky notes, and bookmarks, and they are stored in the My Library cloud. If students download the Diigo browser, they can highlight or bookmark any site on the web, and the information they want to keep will immediately be installed on their personal cloud.
Diigo is the perfect tool to use for my high school students in the future. I will be able to assign research papers, and they will be able to use Diigo to find resources and keep track of important facts they may want to use in their own paper. This site makes it easy to save information in one convenient space, so everyone who uses it can easily find everything they need.
ISTE-NETS S standards are met for students when operating this site. Information and research fluency as well as digital citizenship are important standards that students are using.
The video below gives an overview on how to use Diigo and explains where to save your information.
