    My name is Lauren Grover, and I am creating this ePortfolio for my EDUC 3125 Technology in the Classroom class. I am a Secondary English Education major and a sophomore. Throughout my pages and posts, I will provide information on what I have learned in this class on a variety of topics. I will explain what certain cloud-based tools such as WebQuests, digital analyses, digital stories, concept maps, and web forms have taught me. I will definitely be taking everything I have learned in this class with me when I enter the teaching field. Before coming to this class, I didn't know anything about technology, much less how to use it. Even though I have had some difficulties during this semester in understanding some topics, I learned that sometimes it just takes time to master a skill. Now that I have learned so many new technology skills, I can use them in my own classroom someday. I look forward to creating WebQuests for my students to complete and making an array of Google documents to use in the classroom. I also look forward to taking what I have learned and applying it in my other technology classes. I think it is very important to use technology in the classroom. Even though I am a strong advocate of using old fashioned pen and paper, I now see how important it is for students to be able to use technology. We live in the 21st century, and it is essential that our future generation keep up with our changing technological advances.
