LiveBinders

LiveBinders Picture from website
If I ever want my students to save data and information in one space, I will set up LiveBinder accounts for them to use. I can even use this site to organize my own resources and lesson plans for my classroom.
Basically, LiveBinders is a site that allows students and teachers to collect information and store it for future use. This "binder" is an enhanced digital tool that acts as a regular 3-ring binder would, except information is stored online. Uploaded PDFs and Word documents can be combined into a paperless binder on the LiveBinders site, and documents can be shared in an easily presentable format. It is free to sign up for LiveBinders, and downloading the bookmark tool allows me to add anything online to my personal binder. Binders can be edited, and teachers can set up many live binders.
As a teacher, I could download the TeacherCast app, which is offered through the LiveBinders site. This application would allow me to keep track of all of my different English binders. I could keep all of my resources for each book we read in class in a separate binder, so I would be able to access it quickly and be able to find all of the information I need. The TeacherCast app also provides links to videos and classroom tools for educators to browse to help find new ideas for their classrooms.
Overall, LiveBinders is available to students and teachers, but it is more helpful for teachers since it gives them ideas to incorporate into the classroom. Teachers are able to design and develop digital age learning experiences and assessments and engage in professional growth and leadership, which are two very important ISTE-NETS T standards. Students model digital age learning by using this site as well.
I checked out Jo Wright's English LiveBinder and found a binder online that had many resources stored that I could browse.
